Companion to PLBIO 3430 with laboratory activities that focus on the practice of plant biotechnology. Students transfer genes to plants by a variety of methods and analyze their expression in the host genome by use of reporter gene assays and by the preparation and analysis of nucleic acids.

Outcome 1: Students will understand the fundamental concepts underlying modern plant molecular biology
