MAE 3272 - Mechanical Property and Performance Laboratory Spring. 2 credits. Letter grades only.
Prerequisite: MAE 3250 .
W. Sachse.
This course provides an introduction to the experimental methods, instrumentation and data analyses associated with material property determination and mechanical performance of materials. Emphasis is placed on integration of theory and analysis with experimental methods.
Outcome 1: Students will be able to use a variety of methods to determine mechanical properties and performance measures of engineering materials.
Outcome 2: Be able to use material properties and relationships to design, build and test transducers.
Outcome 3: Be able to analyze and experimentally test components in dynamic mechanical systems.
