FSAD 3320 - Product Quality Assurance Spring. 3 credits. Letter grades only.
Prerequisite: FSAD 2370 . Lab fee: $30.

Covers evaluation of fibers, yarns, fabrics, and garments, with emphases on quality planning and evaluation based on industry standards. Laboratory sections introduce students to common testing specified in the textile and apparel industry, data generation and analysis.
Outcome 1: Be conversant with quality assurance systems throughout the product life cycle.
Outcome 2: Be familiar with industry standards organizations, certification systems, and regulatory agencies.
Outcome 3: Understand material and product specifications.
Outcome 4: Be able to interpret data and relate it to product parameters and performance standards.
Outcome 5: Be able to communicate quality issues within the fashion industry.
