FSAD 1170 - Fashion Graphics Fall. 3 credits. Letter grades only.
Prerequisite: demonstrated skill at drawing. Enrollment preference given to: FSAD majors, potential transfer students, and Fashion Studies minors. Course fee: $60; minimum $250 for materials.
V. Lewis.
Students develop both familiar and unfamiliar methods that enable them to visualize the fashioned body and ancillary expressions of fashion. Fashion graphics is explored as a communicative strategy essential in most aspects of fashion development.
Outcome 1: Demonstrate flexible and oblique thinking.
Outcome 2: Use image-making in its broadest sense.
Outcome 3: Use image-making as a research tool and a means of self-expression.
Outcome 4: Uncover a method of image-making that is contemporary.
Outcome 5: Generate a series of new approaches to fashion image making.
Outcome 6: Experiment with broad concepts of invention and presentation.
