Among the topics covered are motives for exploration, technological advances that assist exploration, obstacles that must be overcome, the roles of leaders, the spread of information about exploration, and positive and negative consequences of exploration. It is led by Eric Tagliacozzo of History, with the assistance of guest lecturers. (HTR)
