Statistical inference and probabilistic modeling are central to all of the pure and applied sciences today. Statistical thinking and quantitative reasoning has become pervasive in culture, economy, law, government, and science, dramatically changing the way people view the world. Cornell’s academic and research programs take advantage of Cornell University’s extensive resources, drawing from many colleges and research groups.

Statistical Science is part of  the Faculty of Computing and Information Science (CIS), and offers an undergraduate major and graduate programs for the degrees of Master of Professional Studies and Ph. D.
