HADM 3670 - Persuasive and Ethical Communication (SSC-HA) Fall. 3 credits. Student option grading.
Forbidden Overlap: due to an overlap in content, students will receive credit for only one course in the following group: HADM 3650 , HADM 3670, HADM 6670 , HADM 7610 , REAL 6640 . Prerequisite: First-Year Writing seminar for undergraduate students. Enrollment limited to: non-Nolan SHA students. Not open to: first-year students. Co-meets with HADM 6670 .

This course will help you to develop the knowledge and skill as a future organizational leader to address persuasive and real ethical communication challenges. It focuses on the art of applying persuasion theory and principles to a range of diverse leadership and communication contexts.
Outcome 1: Students will identify key issues and appropriately apply discipline principles to analyze a solution.
Outcome 2: Students will critically evaluate a problem and will formulate a solution based on principles from at least two management disciplines.
Outcome 3: Students will create professional-quality written business documents.
Outcome 4: Students will plan and deliver a professional-quality oral presentation.
Outcome 5: Students will demonstrate productive team behaviors.
Outcome 6: Students will identify the ethical dimensions of a business decision.
Outcome 7: Students will identify the personal goals and learning opportunities required for continued personal and professional development.
